Obituary of Kay Ellen Fox

Kay (Attenborough) Fox, age 61 wife of the late Allen Fox of East Vincent Township, died on Monday at the Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia Pa after a long courageous battle with cancer. Kay was born in Hartford, CT, a daughter of Robert Attenborough and Jean (Helm) Atwood. Kay resided in East Vincent since 1979. She was a graduate of Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, CA, a graduate of Gywnedd-Mercy College with a bachelors in Nursing, and received her master's in nursing at Villanova University and her PHD at Clayton College, she was employed as a registered nurse for over thirty years at the Phoenixville Hospital, and taught nursing at Southside Regional Medical Center School of Nursing Regional Site at Phoenixville Hospital since 2006 and was a clinical instructor for over twenty eight years at Phoenixville Hospital. She also was a legal nurse consultant and a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, Sigma Pheta Tau, and the American Holistic Nurses Association. Kay enjoyed traveling, hypnosis and energy work. She was a member of the Church of the Epiphany of Royersford where she sang in the choir. In addition to her parents she is survived by two daughters: Briana Hutchinson of Quakertown, and Kimberly Wheeler of Green Lane. And six grandchildren: Saileym, Nikole, Vanessa, Lacey, Dustin and AJ. And 3 brothers: Bruce, Brian, and Keith Attenborough and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service that will be celebrated on Friday, December 17th at 7:00pm at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Royersford Third are and Washington St. Royersford, the Rev. Jennie Anderson will officiate, Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in her memory to the Cancer Center at Phoenixville Hospital Suite 101 82 Main St Phoenixville PA 1960.
