Dorothy M. Emswiler, 81, Spring City
Dorothy M. Emswiler, 81, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 in the Manatawny Manor in East Coventry, PA.
Affectionately known as "Dot", she was the only child born in Quakertown, PA to the late Isaac Weldon and the late Emma Caroline (Schiele) Emswiler.
A graduate of the Spring City High School class of 1954, Dot was a member of the girl's baseball team and kept score for the boy's team too. She loved baseball including watching the Phillies. She was a life long member of the Trinity Lighthouse Evangelical Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and sub sandwich maker. She was an avid reader and enjoyed ceramics.
Dot was employed by Sunny Slope Dairies where she worked in the accounting department.
She leaves behind Gary and Bonnie Ebert of Dayton, OH, Jane and Ed Crowder of Faifax, VA, Jean and John Eubank of Richmond, VA, Jim and Betty Schiele of Richmond, VA, Joyce Schiele of Richmond, VA, Patricia and Pat Petecale of Hatboro, PA, Ronal Kline of Ft. Washington, PA, Marvin Kline of Norristown, PA, Gregory and Sharon Schiele of Phoenixville and George Schiele of Phoenixville.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 21, 2017 in Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 66 South Limerick Road, Royersford with the Rev. Ralph Owens officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Friday prior to the service. Burial will be immediately following in the Royersford/Fernwood Cemetery.
