John J. DiGiacomo, III, 71, husband of Margaret “Bunny” (Yednock) died on Friday, April 7, in The Pottstown Memorial Medical Center after a brave fight with cancer.
He was born in Phoenixville to the late John DiGiacomo Jr. and the late Angeline (Sciallo) DiGiacomo. He graduated from Bishop Kendrick High School in 1963, and served our country honorably for the United States Marine Corps. Living in Royersford since 1972, John was always a hard worker. He was employed for many years as a buyer in the pharmaceutical industry until his retirement, when he started working part time at Kohl’s. John was an active member of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed cycling, running, family BBQs and staying abreast of political news and happenings.
In addition to his wife “Bunny," he is survived by his three children; sons, John R. DiGiacomo of Royersford, Thomas D. DiGiacomo of Fruitville, and Joseph M. DiGiacomo of Hoboken, NJ; two sisters, Barbara Jean, wife of Walt of Phoenixville, Phyllis, wife of Russell of Tennessee; and a brother, Robert “Bob”, husband of the late Shirley DiGiacomo of Phoenixville. He will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral mass on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 838 Walnut St., Royersford, PA 19468, with The Rev. Peter J. DiMaria officiating. Visitation and viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at The Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fillmore St, Phoenixville, immediately following the Mass.
