Dorothy Carlin, 89, King Of Prussia Dorothy Carlin, 89, widow of Joseph “Reds” Carlin , died Wednesday in Phoenixville Hospital. She was born in Locust Gap to the late Ray and the late Mary (Betz) O'Neill. Dorothy was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Catholic High School and was a lifetime resident of the Phoenixville, Oaks, and Spring City area. She was employed at the former Container Corporation. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Spring City,and enjoyed crafting. She is survived by her son, Jack Shannon, husband of Christine of King of Prussia PA, one sister, Peggy Gregory, wife of Robert, and one brother Raymond O’Neill, and one grandson, Joseph Carlin. She is predeceased by her son, Joseph Carlin, her sister Eleanor Hornung, and her grandson, Sean Patrick Shannon. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at The Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St., Spring City, PA 19475 at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2016, with the Reverend Charles O’Hara officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be following at The Riverside Cemetery, 200 S. Montgomery Ave, W. Norriton, PA 19401.
