Obituary of MaryAnn G Dell'Aquila

MaryAnn G. Dell'Aquila, age 74, died peacefully in her sleep after a third battle with cancer Friday March 12, 2010 in the Frederick Mennonite Community.
A daughter of the late John & Dolores Dellaquila
She is the beloved sister of Franklin & Anthony Dell'Aquila Royersford PA
And John, husband of Joan Dellaquila, Phoenixville PA
And Diane, wife of Bernd Simon, Lansdale PA
And many nieces, nephews and their respective families.
Born in Phoenixville PA, she moved with family to Pottstown in 1951. Graduated from Pottstown High School in 1953. Founding member of "Kool Kittens Knittin' Klub, whose members remained among her closest friends throughout her life. She worked for various local companies throughout her career including; Bell Telephone Company, Doehler-Jarvis, "D" Electric and spent 30 years with H & R Block.
She attended Exeter Bible Church in the 80's, sang in the choir, worked with the youth group and was coordinator and leader in the singles group called Faith Alone. She later became one of the founding members of Hope Community Church in New Hanover. Serving as Financial Secretary during building construction. Served in the Women's Ministry Group and active in Bible Study groups. She also worked with the Missionary Group which included two trips to Mexico to help care for the needy. She was also a member of the "Loving Arms Cancer Support Group" of Glad Tidings Church of West Lawn, PA
Her funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am at the Hope Community Church, North Charlotte St. Gilbertsville. Entombment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Her viewing will be Wednesday evening from 7-8:30pm and on Thursday morning from 9-10am at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home Bridge and Church Street Spring city.
MaryAnn asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the local chapter of the American Cancer Society or to Franklin Dell'Aquila, 114 Providence Forge, Royersford for the care and support of her special needs brother Tony, whom she loved and cared for deeply all her life.
MaryAnn was always there to lend a hand of support to her family and many friends, a loyal follower of Christ whose teachings helped her through her long battle with Cancer. She will be greatly missed.
