Theresa A. "Tess" Bauer, 98, Pottstown Theresa A. (Boettger) Bauer, 98, widow of Raymond F. Bauer, died Sunday in Manatawny Manor. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Otto and the late Marie (Dahl) Boettger. She owned and operated Bauer's Food Market in Royersford, and was the owner of Jiffy's Blinds. In addition, Tess worked for Britt's Department store and Hess's Department Store. Tess enjoyed cooking, waterskiing, baking, and being "nanna" to her grandchildren. She is survived by her two children, James. E. Bauer Sr., husband of Elaine of Pottstown, and Dr. Raymond F.Bauer of Delaware; and her sister, Doris Kauffman. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her brothers, Otto and Carl; and her sisters, Marie Bradford, Louise Weaver, and Anna Corbin Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, January 22 at the Grace Lutheran Church, Main St., Royersford, PA 19468 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Paul H. Neff officiating. Visitaton will be held at the church on Friday from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
