Katherine Pacioni, 91, Katherine, "Kay", Rose Pacioni (Heigel), 91 passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at home after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Ivan and Tessie (Shumella) Heigel and the widow of Ellis A. Pacioni. Kay resided in the twin boroughs all her life and loved her family and community. She graduated from Spring City High and remained a loyal member of the Class of '42. She was a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church and American Legion for over 50 years. In her younger years she was active in the Phoenixville Hospital Auxiliary. In her later years, she was active in the Women's Library Club of Spring City and belonged to the Spring-Ford Area Historical Society. She was an avid fisherman, bird watcher, pet aficionado and loved the shore. She spent many years as primary caregiver to family members and even a friend. She was predeceased by her sisters: Irene and Sonia, and a brother, Merrill. She is survived by daughters Mary Alderfer and Patricia Lebow, both of Royersford, a grandson, Robert Ellis Alderfer, nieces Sonia Kay Gottshall of Douglassville, Kenneth Pacioni of Fayetteville, NY, Carol (Pacioni) Blair of Grand Island, New York, Joanne Pacioni of Pottstown, many great nephews, a great niece and a great, great niece and nephews, and her beloved feline companion, Lily Snow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home in Spring City. Visitors are welcome from 10:00 to 11:00. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Spring City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Spring City United Methodist Church, 45 N. Church Street, Spring City, PA 19475.
