Earl T. Grater, Sr., age 91 husband of the late Eleanor L. (Miller) Grater of Spring City, PA died on Monday November 23, 2009 in the Lakenau Hospital. He was born in Thorndale a son of the late Earl H Grater and the late Laurel (Taylor) Grater. Mr. Grater resided most of his life in Spring City, he was employed for over 35 years at Teleflex until his retirement. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and enjoyed fishing, camping and Story Telling. He was a member of the Libery Fire Co. in Spring City, The Thomas W. O'Connor Spring City American Legion Post 602, and the Friendship Fire Co. in Royersford. He is survied by two children a daughter, Earlene L. wife of Gerald McCarraher of Phoenixville and a son, Earl T. "Buddy" Grater, Jr husband of Deborah of Boyertown; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth C Grater, Sr., a sister, Kathryn Bauman and a grandson, A. Gerald McCaaher III. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets, Spring City, PA. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories.
