Obituary of Diane Kappenstein

Please share a memory of Diane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Diane Kappenstein, 68, of Phoenixville PA, passed away on November 29th 2024 after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis that took her life in just a few short weeks. She was surrounded by her family in her final days/moments.

Diane was born to Ralph and Marlene Kappenstein on May 22, 1956 in Phoenixville PA. She was a graduate of the class of ‘74 from Northern Chester County Technical School.

Diane loved traveling, the beach, gardening, driving on backroads blaring music, and being outside soaking up the sun. Diane was blessed with two daughters and as a single mother, Diane worked hard to provide for them. Becoming a grandmother to her four grandchildren filled her life with so much joy. She enjoyed sharing her exceptional baking skills and bursts of creative ideas playing games, crafting, singing and dancing with them.

Diane joins her mother, Marlene in heaven along with her father, Ralph, her step-father Richard, her brother-in-law Robert, her brother-in-law Tom, and other great aunts and uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her two daughters, Kaitlyn of Charleston, SC and her husband Dan, and Kelsey of Phoenixville, PA, Four grandchildren, Emerson, Everly, Mikaela, and Daniel and her brothers Jimmy and Kenny, along with her sisters Sharon and Sandy.

Diane had a strong faith in the Lord and during her last few weeks of life she clung to His promises. She found peace beyond understanding in her final days knowing she would soon be walking with Jesus. Her life and journey to the end is a true testament of His unwavering love. Her favorite verse which she lived by Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
