Fae Edmond, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away at Phoenixville Hospital on October 28, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on January 25, 1931, in Homer City, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Samuel and Margaret Kunkle (Zeman).
Fae graduated from Homer City High School and embarked on a fulfilling career as a dental assistant in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. Though her professional journey began in Pennsylvania, she spent most of her life in Saginaw, Michigan, where she embraced the community and made lasting friendships.
An avid golfer and bowler, Fae brought joy and energy to every activity she pursued. She was also a cherished member of the Bay City Grace Church choir and bell choir, where her love for music flourished. Fae had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for travel, always eager to explore new places and create unforgettable memories.
Fae leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Peggy Lillmars, Sherry Lee, Pam (John) Villanti, Brian (Tammie) Lightner, and Bonny Lightner, as well as her stepchildren, Fred (Mary) Edmond and Leslie White. She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren, great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren and aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom were a source of immense joy in her life.
Fae was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick A. Edmond, her parents, her sister, Glenda McNelis and her sons-in-law, Gary Lillmars and Mick Lee. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
