Jonathan Henry Munz"Jon", age 29, died early Sunday morning sfter injuries sustained in a vehichle accident. john was born on March 28, 1984 and the loving son of Margaret "Maggie" Moser Munz and Rick Munz.
Jon was raised in east Coventry a 2003 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, where he played football and was named All PAC 10 First Team Offense and Defense. After graduation John had pursued his dream of becoming a United States Marine. He served his county as Marine during the Iraq War, serving in twio tours. He received Commendation and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal , Iraq Campaign Medal,Global War on Terrorism, Medal National Service Defense Medal,Navy Unit Commendation.
After serving in the Marines he came home and was employed with his father as a plumber for H. Munz Plumbing. He was a member of the Spring City Lodge of the Free and accepted Masonic #553, the Spring City American Legion Post 602, Thomas W. O'connor and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6341-Royersford, and the Elverson Gun Club.
Jon was known for having a kind and sweet heart he found many joys in life and truly loved his family and frineds and esopecially his son "Mason". He will be nissed by all of his family and frineds and always known for his honorable sevice to his country and kind spirit.
In addion to his parents and son he is survived by Girlfriend: Jackie Byron; Sister: Beckey wife of david seal of Morgantown and Jenney Munz of Phoenixville and Twin Brother: Matt Munz of Conshohocken.
Also survived by several Cousins and Aunts and Uncles.
Reklatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday at 11am at the Zion Lutheran Church 39 Bonnie Brae Road Sprign City PA The Reverend Paul Townsend will officiate. His burial wioll follow with Military Honors in the church cemetery. His viewing will be held on Friday evening at the church from 6-8pm and on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30am. Masonic Service saturday at 10:15am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in Jon's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project 310 Grant Street Suite 900 Pittsburgh PA 15219.
