Obituary of Bertha Dilliplane

Please share a memory of Bertha to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bertha Dilliplane, aged 96, peacefully passed away at home on October 1, 2024. Born on July 9, 1928, to the late Edgar Yeager Jr. and Elsie (Fisher) in the Spring City area, Bertha spent nearly her entire life in the community she cherished.

A proud graduate of Spring City High School, Bertha built a career at Jones Motor and Commadore Computers where she worked diligently as a bookkeeper for many years until her well-earned retirement. Outside of her professional life, she devoted herself to serving others, volunteering at local food pantries, and lending a helping hand wherever needed.

Family was central to Bertha’s life, and she enjoyed spending time with them, as well as partaking in her favorite pastimes—bowling, cheering on her beloved Phillies, playing bingo, and enjoying games of dominoes. A woman of faith, she was a dedicated member of First United Church of Christ, where she also served as the church treasurer.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Elsie Yeager; her siblings, Russell Yeager and Phyllis Bell; and her beloved sons, Allen and Jay.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Diane Lee (James) of Kansas City and Joyce Crowley (John) of Leesport; her cherished grandchildren: Sean Crowley (Kristie), Jill Daingerfield, Cristin Crowley, Wendy Mann, and Suzanne Campbell (David); and her adored great-grandchildren: Madelin, Lucinda, Logan, Morgan, Karsten, Gavin, Anyslee, Maren, Savanah, and Thabi.

Bertha’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will forever be remembered. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
