Harold  Victor White, 48, Pottstown

Harold White, 48,  passed away late Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2024 in the Reading Hospital.

The youngest son born, April 30, 1976 in Schuylkill County, to Linda (Coffman) White and her late husband Russell White. As the baby of the family, Harold was adored and had special nicknames like Ace, Bud, Howie and Bro.  This special, later addition to the family brought a lot of joy and laughter to parents and siblings alike.

At 14 years old a tragic accident that caused a brain injury changed the trajectory of Harold’s life, but not his ability to love life and crack a joke.  Every day was hard for him, but with great effort he was able to earn an honorable diploma from Tamaqua High School.

Harold and Linda moved to the Chester County area to be closer to family.  He never missed out on a good cup of coffee, and numbers and math were his thing.  Unbeatable at checkers and connect four, he enjoyed watching The Price is Right and the Weather Channel. Had things been different, he might have been a Meteorologist or heavy equipment operator.

He was funny, sarcastic, stubborn, and kind. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. His teenage enjoyment of pro wrestling and monster trucks continued into adulthood. He did not have a mean bone in his body and he would wave to everyone,  saying “I love you” to total strangers he had just met.

Although he traveled to Disney World more than five times, his favorite place to be was at home.

He will be missed by his adoring mother and care giver, Linda White and siblings:  Russell (wife, Sandy), Tracy (husband, Dave) and Kaylee (husband, John).

A private family interment of ashes will be held at the end of August at the Northampton Memorial Shrine in Easton. The family is planning a celebration of life event at a later date, to be announced.

Harold’s last act of kindness was his donation of organs for others.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made at the Gift of Life,  Gift of Life .
