Ileana Puente Quintana, 69

Ileana Puente, affectionately known as “Ile”, “Ma”, “Aba”, “Titi Ile” and “Aunt I", wife of Nicolas Quintana, passed away on January 2, 2024. Born on September 24, 1954, to her parents, Laurentino Puente and Mirta Piñero, she was one of two children. Ile was born in Havana, Cuba.

Later on, Ile married the love of her life, Nicolas Quintana. Their love story began when Nicolas drove from Boston all the way to Florida State to ask Ile to marry him. She said yes and they proceeded to build a beautiful life together. They had one daughter, Cristina. Ile was a powerful woman, an enigma, and the matriarch of the family. She spent her free time writing a book of her life that she leaves as a legacy for her granddaughter, Ava Raphael.

Surviving Ile is her husband, Nicolas Quintana, her “kids,” daughter Cristina and her husband Adam Raphael, granddaughter Ava, her brother Ivan Puente, and Jorge and Ginette Quintana. Ile also leaves
behind her niece and nephews: Logan and Mason Puente, Jorge and Alexandra Quintana.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday from 11:00-11:30 on January 5, 2024, immediately followed by a memorial service from 11:30 AM. Both visitation and service will be held at the R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ile’s memory to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
