Robert Yost, 37, Pottstown
Robert Yost, 37, the only son of Robert L. and Mary Jane (Amoroso) Yost, passed away on Thursday July 6, 2023 at The University of Pennsylvania Hospital from complications following a very high-risk heart surgery. Born December 4, 1985 in Pottstown, Bobby was born with two congenital heart defects, which were unknown until recent months. He was a 2004 graduate of St. Pius X High School and a 2008 Dean’s list graduate of Seton Hall with a Batchelor of Science degree in business law and business management. He was smart and determined to do anything he put his mind to in his short life. As a college student, one of the highlights of his summer was that he was able to be an intern for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan cheering on the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Seton Hall. Bobby and his dad always enjoyed watching wrestling together, as well. Bobby was employed in the restaurant industry. He worked as a manager for Chickie and Petes and Firebirds. Prior to that, he had been a bartender at Nick and Lucy’s, his grandparents’ bar. He would frequent flea markets, yard sales, and Liberty Thrift store looking for a good deal and then try to resell them. Bobby was handy with anything and would try to make or fix things. He also enjoyed playing poker. Bobby touched many lives in his short life. He was a caring, kind, and thoughtful soul. He was loved by many. He also continued to have a unique bond with his parents and a great love for all of the family pets. In his short time, he lived a full life. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to be in “Bobby’s World.”
Bobby leaves behind his adoring parents, Robert L. (Bob) and Mary Jane (Amoroso) Yost of Pottstown, Paternal grandmother: Holly Mickiewicz and partner Fred Spiezio; his aunts, uncles Tina Boyle, Louise Ludwig, Bernie Boyle, Greg Ludwig, his cousins and his best friend since pre-school, Justin Kaplan. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, July 13 at St. Thomas Moore R.C. Church from 9:30 a.m-11:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 11:30 am.
