Mary Louise (Miller) Hunter age 85, wife of the late Edward G. Hunter of East Pikeland Township, Spring City and Phoenixville area died on Friday evening in the Keystone Villa in Douglassville, PA.
Born in Parkerford PA Mary was raised in Royersford and lived most of her life in East Pikeland. Mary was employed for many years at the former Pennhurst State School until her retirement. She was a homemaker and loved being with her family. Mary enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved having her dogs and enjoyed swing music.
She is survived by three children: daughter: A. Eileen wife of Don Quay of Perkasie and sons: Todd L. Hunter husband of Michele of Bloomsburg and Brian J. Hunter husband of Sharon of Douglassville. And twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia L. Fletcher wife of Erroll. And Sister: June Jones and a brother: Robert G. Miller
Relative and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday at 11:30 am at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge Street and Church Street Spring City PA. The Reverend Jeannie M. Hunter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Spring City. Her viewing will be Thursday morning in the funeral home from 10am to 11:30am.
