Obituary of R. Bruce Gerhard

Please share a memory of R. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

R. Bruce Gerhard, husband of the late Shirley Gerhard of Spring City , went home to be with the Lord on Monday 13, 2023. Bruce was the son of the late Robert and Nettie Gerhard. He grew up in Betzwood and the King of Prussia area, and was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, and after serving in the United States Army, had lived his adult life in Spring City. He was a faithful member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Spring City, where he started the bus ministry, and for 25 years drove the bus and invited children to ride the bus to Sunday School. He served for many years as a Sunday School teacher, class leader, elder, and mowed the church lawn. "Uncle Bruce" loved his family, his church family, and as we all know - antique cars and tractors. He is survived by his daughters, Rachel and Desiree, four grandchildren, Kate, Megan, Ryan, and Lauren, his sister, Janet and calico cat, Cleo.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday March 20, at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Pennhurst Road, Spring City. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am, both at the church. Burial will follow at Vincent Mennonite Cemetery, Spring City and a time of fellowship for all back at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home in Spring City. Online condolences can be made and the obituary viewed at www.sgsfuneralhome.com.
