Patsy C. Kalil 83
Patsy C. Kalil, wife of the late Walter M. Kalil passed away on March 13, 2023 at Amity Place of Douglassville.
She was born on December 1, 1939 in West Chester to the late Raymond Cox and the late Nita (Mauger) Cox. A 1957 graduate of Spring-Ford High School, Patsy was a majorette for the school band. In her younger years she enjoyed singing and was a member of many church choirs. While in high school Patsy worked at the Collegeville Bank. After graduating high school Patsy and Walter were married on August 10, 1957 and lived in Germany while Walter was serving in the United States Army. In March of 1978 Patsy and Walter opened Kalil’s Printing and worked there until they retired together in 2005.
Patsy enjoyed ceramics, knitting, reading and was part of a card club for many years. She loved spending time at the Pocono Mountain cabin that she and Walter purchased in 1983. Patsy had a big heart and she loved others unconditionally. She always made it a point to make people feel comfortable and loved. She made friends no matter the time nor place as people gravitated toward her beautiful and selfless nature. Patsy was known for her gentleness and her quick, unmatched witty one-liners. Her kindness, warmth, patience, and gentle spirit leave a permanent mark on the lives of those who knew her. She was loved immeasurably and will be missed immensely.
Patsy’s greatest love was her family. She leaves behind her 3 children, Michael (Sue), Michelle Lynch (Bruce) and Joseph (Melissa). She also leaves behind her 6 grandchildren, Michael Kalil Jr. (Courtney), Joshua Kalil, Jeannie (Kalil) Caldwell (Aidan), Samantha (Kalil) Musso, (Kyle), Krista (Kalil) Johnson (James) and Amanda Kalil, and 3 great-grandchildren, Michael Kalil III, Mylah Kalil and Cohen Musso. Patsy was preceded in death by her brothers Raymond (Bo) Cox and Author (Butch) Cox and her sister Margaret (Peggy) Halsey.
Visitation will be on Wednesday March 22 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home Inc. Spring City PA and from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM Thursday March 23rd prior to the service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
A Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday March 23rd at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City with Rev Charles O’Hara officiating.
