Obituary of Vernon Taylor Parry
V. Taylor (Tay) Parry of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania passed away on 17 February 2023 at his home. Taylor was 68 years of age.
Taylor was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania to Richard McLean Parry and Sally Rittenhouse Parry on 14 December 1954. He graduated from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
Taylor is survived by his sisters Elizabeth (Beveridge) of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Amanda (Scott) of Louisville, Kentucky and Anne of Washington, D.C.
Nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews include: Michelle Miller Knight (Ronnie) son, Leonardo, Amanda Miller Harper (John) children Jackson and Grey. Tiev Bartok Miler (Ming Hsiu Kao), Davya Niklos Miller, Asa Lark Miller, and Sophie Raya Miller.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Mannion Parry, his mother Sally Rittenhouse Parry, and his father Richard McLean Parry.
Taylor loved sports as a young person. He played Little League baseball and later on enjoyed recreational softball as an adult and participated in football and gymnastics in high school. Taylor was a Boy Scout for a number of years.
Tay loved his friends and was loyal to each, almost to a fault. He had loving impersonations of many of them and was also a great storyteller.
Taylor and Michelle were married for tweny one years. Both loved the sun, fun and the water. They were able to spend a number of winters on the beaches of Florida. Marathon Key was a favority destination. He also enjoyed many wonderful times in Rock Hall, Maryland and Sandbridge, Virginia as a guest of good friends.
Taylor loved automobiles and some would have called him a 'mechanic's mechanic'. He was a natural from his young teen years.
A celebration of Taylor's life is being planned and we hope to see lots of his people there to remember Tay once we have the details worked out.
