Obituary of Randall A Dunlap

Randall A. Dunlap, age 66 husband of Betty of East Coventry Township passed on Friday December 16, 2022 in the Phoenixville Hospital after a long battle with COPD and Lupus. 

 

He was born in Montgomery County a son to the late Robert and Pearl (Keen) Dunlap. Randall lived most of his life in East Coventry, he was a 1974 graduate of Owen J. Robert High School. He was employed for many years as a press operator for the Rixie Paper Company in Pottstown until his retirement, he was also a former Firestone employee. Randall was a passionate muscle car enthusiast, and loved to race his Chevy Monza at Maple Grove Raceway. Not only was he great with cars, he was a very talented athlete and guitar player. Being a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, as well as a boxer and football player, he was always proud to discuss his accomplishments. Randy had a life long love for music and playing guitar, and was in a band as a young man. Not only was he talented in his hobbies, he was a great step father and grandfather who loved his family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. 

 

In addition to his wife he is survived by step children: Dennis and Denise and grandchildren: Eric and Joseph , great grandchildren: Damien and Simone Marlatt and a brother: Barry Dunlap, he is preceded in death by step children: David, Danielle, and Debbie.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Wednesday January 4, 2023 at 11am at the Pughtown Baptist Church Cemetery 780 Pughtown Road Spring City PA 19475, The Shalkop Garce & Strunk Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
