Obituary of Helen Elaine Batzel

Helen “Elaine” Batzel, 90, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on August 23, 2022 in Phoenixville Hospital. 

Elaine was born in Phoenixville to George & Helen Hopp on July 24, 1932. She graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1950.  She worked as a machine operator at West Company for 15 years and enjoyed flea-marketing, crocheting, reading and spending time with family. 

Elaine is survived by her children: Cindy Miller, Patricia (Len) Crabtree, Kerry (Nancy) Batzel, Barbra Wells and Cheryl Bobo, along with tons of grandchildren, great & great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents: George & Helen, and all of her siblings: George Jr, Arthur, Frances Allen and Eleanore. 

Friends and family are all invited for a visitation time to celebrate her life on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at R. Strunk Funeral Home located at 400 Main Street in Phoenixville from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to St. Judes Research Hospital.
