Walter M. Kalil 87
Walter M. Kalil, husband of Patsy (Cox) Kalil passed away on August 2, 2022 at Keystone Villa of Douglassville.
He was born on June 19, 1935 in Royersford to the late Anthony Kalil and Stella (Soltys) Kalil. A 1953 graduate of Royersford High School, Walter played football, basketball and baseball. He then attended Stevens Trade School for printing where he played football and also ran track. He served in the United States Army for 4 years. Walter was publisher and general manager of the Reporter in the Spring-Ford area. In March of 1978 he opened his own business, Kalil’s Printing Inc. and operated it for 40 years. Walter enjoyed golfing, watching professional and college sports, spending time at his mountain cabin and working in his wood shop. His greatest love was his family. In addition to wife Patsy of 65 years, Walter leaves behind his 3 children, Michael (Sue), Michelle Lynch (Bruce) and Joseph (Melissa) and his brother David Kalil (Dianne). He also leaves behind his 6 grandchildren, Michael Kalil Jr. (Courtney), Joshua Kalil, Jeannie (Kalil) Caldwell (Aidan), Samantha (Kalil) Musso, (Kyle), Krista Kalil and Amanda Kalil, and 3 great-grandchildren, Michael Kalil III, Mylah Kalil and Cohen Musso. He was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Kalil and sister Delores Miksis.
A Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September 24th in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City with Rev Charles O’Hara officiating. Military honors will follow the service.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, September 24th prior to the service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
