Obituary of Barbara A. Boyer

Barbara Boyer of Pottstown passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Reading, Pennsylvania. 

Barbara was born as one of two children to the late Herbert and Frances Nyce.  She grew up in Spring City where she took employment with Springford Knitt as a sewing machine operator.  Barbara met the love of her life, Leroy Boyer, and they married soon after, having four children of their own. 

Barbara was an avid camper and loved looking for unique treasures at flea markets.  She was an animal lover, especially horses and dogs.  She is survived by her Boston Terrier, Brady, whom is going to miss her dearly. 

In addition to Brady, Barbara is survived by her brother: Herbert Nyce (Sara), her four children: Leroy A. Boyer (Gary Walters), Cheryl Endy (Jeffrey), Donna Russell, and Keith Boyer (Kimberly), six grandchildren: Amanda, Casie, Shaun, Justin, Brandon and Emilee and seven great-grandchildren: Charlie Rose, Stella, Gabe, Lily, Blake, Jacob and Landon and one step great-granddaughter: Grace Moore.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Leroy, and her parents: Frances & Herbert Nyce. 

Services will be held on Thursday, July 28 in Spring City at Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home located at 135 Bridge Street.  Family & friends may call beginning at 9:30AM with her memorial service to begin at 11:00 AM.   

All arrangements are being handled by Shalkop, Grace and Strunk Funeral Home of Spring City.
