Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

David Craig Hartzell age 73, of Spring City passed away at Phoenixville Hospital with his daughter by his side on January 29, 2022.

Born as the only son to the late Leon Joseph and late Peggy Lou (Fry)Hartzell, Dave spent his days growing up in the Spring City area with his three sisters.   He went on to fight in Vietnam with the United States Army and married the love of his life, Linda Weidenbaugh. Dave was a proud member of the Local Laborers Union 57 as well as the Masons Union 413.  He was a lifelong member of the American Italian Bocce Club in Royersford, as well as the American Legion Post #602 in Spring City.  He was also an active member of the Royersford Fire Department (Hookies).

He spent many years perfecting his trade of masonry up until the day he retired.   When he wasn’t working, David could be found enjoying himself outdoors hunting and fishing, tinkering with an array of classic cars or keeping his poker face sharp at various card parties and casinos.

Dave is survived by his loving daughters: Debra Lynn, wife of the late John W. Case of Winnie, Texas and Jennifer Renae, wife of Jeff John of Spring City; three sisters: Melody Dever, Kim Carter, and Brenda Hudson; five grandchildren: Chelsea Moore, Jordan John, Mason Case, Rylee Case and Jacob John; and three great grandchildren: Adrianna, Amari, and Azir.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda F. (Weidenbaugh) Hartzell.
