Obituary of Sandra L. Widdop

Sandra  L. Widdop, 73, Sanatoga

Sandra Widdop, 73,  passed away Thursday September 02, 2021 at home.

She was born May 1, 1948 in Wauwatosa, WI to the late Keefe and the late Ruth (Lefeber) Raymond.  As one of four children of a Sales Representative, Sandy and her family lived in Bethlehem PA, after moving many times they settled in Phoenixville, PA.   She attended Phoenixville High School and graduated with the class of 1966.  Sandy adored horseback riding and owned 3 horses in her younger years.  She loved animals, especially her dogs, cats, and turtles.  Sandy was very active as a member of Grace Assembly of God Church, Spring City.  She especially formed bonds with her small group that was like family.  Earlier, Sandy was active at Grace Crossing Church, Phoenixville where she sang in the choir and helped with Club Jam and the youth group.  She had a contagious laugh and great love of children.  Whether she was at home raising her children or spending the many years caring for the safety of children during her years driving school bus, her smile will not be forgotten.

Sandy met the love of her life, John “Doc” Widdop, and was married October 27, 1978.  In addition to her husband, she leaves behind their three children, Jason Widdop (Corrine) of Williamsport, Peter Widdop (Christy) Havertown, and Sara Benson (Brad) of Sanatoga; Brothers Ron Raymond (Beverly) and Tim Raymond (Carol) and sister Diane Raymond; five grandchildren Garrett, Caleigh, Micah, Virginia, and Marquis.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 at Grace Assembly of God Church, 1271 West Bridge Street, Spring City, PA 19475.  Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 10 – 11:00 AM at the  Church.
