To my best friend in the whole wide world…I love you Leslie and you will be in my heart forever. I am so very lucky to have had you in my life for over thirty years. I will never forget your gorgeous smile, twinkling blue eyes, and your infectious laugh. As for sharing a memory, well that would be impossible as we have had so many over the years. Fly high my friend…until we meet again. Condolences to her entire family…I love you all so much. May God wrap his arms around you and give you his peace.

So sorry to hear of Leslie's passing. I did not know Leslie but know her husband Jim very well. He spoke often of Leslie and shared many pictures of her and family on FaceBook. I know she had a rough road medically speaking the last few years of her life and now she's at peace. My condolences to Jim and her family. Tom Long Kennesaw Ga.

Syl and I offer our finest condolences on the passing of this charming and delightful woman. We fondly recall encounters when shopping for vehicles at Hornung Chevrolet many years ago. We had additional pleasant meetings when our son Shel joined Leslie and other young community leaders in forming a local Jaycee chapter some time ago.
May your memories be a blessing.

Jim,
So very sorry for your loss. Leslie always had a smile on her face and her warm personality would light up a room. She was down to earth and so very genuine. Lots of fun memories from years past, especially your 4th of July parties, always a great time. May your memories bring you comfort, until you meet again.
Love, Donna Goepfrich & family

I am so very sorry to hear about your wonderful wife Jim! I never met her, however, I did have the honor of meeting you as a publisher, and having known you and the person you are, there is no doubt your Leslie was an AMAZING woman! As they say, behind every good man...there is always a great woman! I lost my son 10 years ago and I can attest to the fact that our loved ones DO live on through us and the memories we hold so dear in our hearts! Leslie is and forever will be...with you Jim! Sometimes you will sense her presence closer than you think as I honestly believe that our Lord allows them to let us know that one day we will MEET again! It is a promise from God! Speak of her often with family and friends, share memories that bring laughter and tears as it is all part of the Healing of the Heart! My prayers for you and your family for strength, and Peace that only the Lord can give, will be with you! Blessings coming your way! Virtual Hug to you my friend!

Leslie had a certain light with in. Always there with a kind work n help if needed.
Leslie n I volunteered to run the kitchen for The Lower Perk Football teams (by VFW on 113). We always had a good time, great volunteers to help n made a lot of monies, while doing it.
And then we were on the Oaks Home & School Assoc. Doing fun raisers, Santa Secret Shop, etc
We would see each other at ball games n kept in touch, their parties at the pool.
About 2 years ago, I went to see her. I asked if I could get her anything, she wanted homemade cinnamon buns.
So I made them n delivered. I know she enjoyed them.
For Jim n the family, Leslie will be ur every lasting light.
My prayers n comforting good thoughts are with you!
Linda Jean (Deckman) Mentzer

She had a beautiful smile, a quick laugh and the ability to make everyone feel she was their friend. I met her early in the 2000s when she came to work at the MCHA. We were in the Got Fired Club and often talked how happy to be free of “that place”. We shared a love of Jim’s singing and often went to hear him. She knew everyone and those who just met her, felt they knew her forever!! She has a special place in my heart and in many others too. Heaven got an angel.

I'd only met Leslie and Jim at a #1 party for the song Just Got Started Loving You. I'd never seen someone get so excited over panties, but she kept coming back to the table and buying more! My thoughts, prayers and many hugs to the Femino family.
