Florence added a lot of additional joy along with an increase of pondering to my life.... it was really nice to have gotten to know her & to especially learn of her passion for independence. Mom & I were already in withdraw from Florence’s routine weekly & sometimes random visits to our place due to the cold weather & then the pandemic, & now we’ve realized that unfortunately there will be no more of her visits at all... this is truly sad. Florence enjoyed visiting mom & possibly me - not certain on that - but she definitely enjoyed visiting “her dogs”. Mom basically adopted Sassy, a.k.a. Sassafras, Sassaroni , but always welcomed Florence to visit anytime since the custody factor was never quite clear... LOL... Ever since Florence & Sassy came into our lives, every time Sassy whines (which is often), it brings back fond memories of Florence’s almost exact imitation of Sassy’s whining... although it may seem strange to some, it is Sassy’s frequent (yet tolerable) whining that brings back good memories of the Florence we all know. Florence, since I know that you read just about every book in existence & possibly beyond, if you’re reading this, please know that you are already missed by me & ever so deeply by mom. No worries about Sassafras - she will continue to have a very good, loving & plush home while mom & I reminisce about our time with you. Rest In Peace good friend, but don’t be afraid to raise a little heck just to maintain your cool reputation!
