Obituary of Barbara L. Kupetz

Barbara  L. Kupetz, 84, formally of Phoenixville

Barbara Kupetz, 84, widow of the late Edward Kupetz Sr., passed away Wednesday January 6, 2021 at the Frederick Mennonite Living Retirement  Community in Zieglerville, PA.

She was born March 14, 1936 in Norristown, PA, to the late  Walter and Myrtle (Spangler) Fox.  Barbara graduated from Norristown High School in 1954. One of two siblings, Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.   Barb & Ed met while both working at the Container Corporation in Oaks, PA.  They married in 1958 and they created an amazing family & life together in Phoenixville.  While raising her family, Barbara donated her time helping St. Ann’s Church & the Girl Scouts and then later in life worked at National Liberty as a clerk for many years.  They had three beautiful children and encouraged them to pursue happiness with the love they provided.  She was an avid sports watcher but also loved to ice skate, play tennis or just have a catch.  Her happy place was vacationing in Ocean City New Jersey and Polka Dancing with family and friends. You would frequently hear her singing her favorite song “On the Way to Cape May”.

Barbara leaves behind her two children:  Ed Kupetz (wife Darlene) of Pottstown, and Jodi Sheppard (husband Bill) of Oaks.  Granddaughters:  Cassidy and Emma.  Predeceased daughter:  Nancy Fogle and loving brother:  Jerry Fox.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the R. Strunk Funeral Home 400 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. There will be a time to visit with family prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be immediately following the service at St. Ann's Cemetery, Pothouse Road, Phoenixville, PA  19460.
