Dear Mandy, Jenny, and Family, It was such an honor and joy to be your Dad’s nurse. I will never forget his fun, loving spirit. Spending time with him during our visits was always such a highlight to my day. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know him and his beautiful family. Dear Jeanette, Was sorry to find out about Russ's passing. He is done suffering. God is taking care of him and he will see you through this Jeanette. You have many good memories and he appreciated all you did for him. We will get together once the virus is gone. Sorry I was not able to attend his services but I was in hospital having my aortic valve replaced. Hope everything worked out for you at Zion. You take care I will keep you in my prayers.

So sad to hear this. I saw Russell several years ago at the Legion and he hadn't changed. Many fond highschool memories with the entire Slifer clan. RIP old friend.
