Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

William "Bill" J. Tomon, 58, Phoenixville

William Tomon, 58,  husband to Theresa (Bosset) Tomon passed away peacefully Monday June 1, 2020 after a valiant fight against Glioblastoma.

He was born April 6, 1962 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late  William Tomon and the late Antoinette (Zinder).  A lover of sports, Bill graduated from Roselle Catholic in 1980, his passion then was basketball where his grit and love to win was birthed.  Bill was an excellent student and pursued Accounting at Boston College.  He found his way to Allstate Insurance in 1984 and held various positions, most recently as a senior level business process consultant regarding technical direction.  He not only found a great career but this is where he met Terry, the love of his life and other lifelong colleagues and friends.

Bill loved and was devoted to his family.  He was very proud of his children and put them above all his other endeavors and family was most important to him.

Bill was a team player, it didn’t matter if it was in work, sports or life. He was a faithful member of the St. Basil the Great RC Church where he was an Eucharistic Minister, volunteered when the doors were open at the church and even created the Technology Committee. Many have called him a warrior as he battled Glioblastoma, but all will remember him as “Coach”.  Bill coached basketball for the YMCA and CYO in the winter months and in the Summer and Fall turned his heart to Baseball for Bryan and Softball for Emma.  A KYAL coach, commissioner and board member, Bill dedicated many hours to the love of baseball coaching and helping with the KYAL field and grounds.

In his spare time, Bill was passionate about his amazing neighborhood Christmas displays, Boston College Sports, Steelers, fishing and heading to Myrtle Beach to relax as well anything techy including home automation.

Bill leaves behind his devoted wife of 28 years, Theresa Tomon, two children:  Bryan and Emma, Brother:  Joseph (wife, Nancy) of Utah, Three nieces:  Elizabeth, Kathleen and Virginia, a great uncle and several other nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to him as "Uncle Bill".  He will be missed by his fur family too:  Lexie and Kiba.
