Ethel (Conrad) Barnhart, 95, wife of the late Harry a. Barnhart of Spring City, died Wednesday in the Parkhouse at Providence Pointe.
Born in Treverton,, PA she was the daughter to the late Kimber and the late Viola (Dunkelberger) Conrad.
Ethel was born and raised in Treverton but resided most of her life in Spring City; she was an active member of the Spring City United Methodist Church. Ethel was employed as a sales clerk for the former Fazzini Shoe Store in Phoenixville. And also was a homemaker. Betty volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels. She was a member the South Coventry Garden Club.
Ethel is survived by daughter: Susan M. Himes of Spring City. And Son; Kimber husband of Rose Mary Barnhart; And 6 grandchildren: Alan Heffner, Kristin Himes, Matthew Barnhart,
Nicole Barnhart, Valerie Barnhart and Jesse Barnhart. 2 great grandchildren: Bryant Rowe and Tori Byford; she is predeceased by a daughter: Betty Jane Heffner wife of Mark Heffner and a son: Atwood Barnhart husband of Alexandra Barnhart and a grandson; Larry Byford.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday at 11:00am at the Shalkop Grace& Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets, Spring City. The Rev. Dennis Keen will officiate. Burial to follow in the Vincent Mennonite Cemetery. Her viewing will be held Monday morning in the funeral home from 10am to 11am.
