Atwood "Barney" Barnhart (59) died on Thursday, June 21st at Pottstown Hospital. He was the husband of Alexandra Leigh (Herr) Barnhart and the father of Jesse Aaron Barnhart of Linfield. Atwood grew up in Spring City and was the son of the late Harry Atwood Barnhart and Ethel Aleta (Conrad) Barnhart. He had 2 siblings, Betty Jane Barnhart-Heffner (deceased). Susan Marie Himes, and Kimber Miles Barnhart. 3 nephews, 3 nieces and 1 great nephew. Atwood graduated from Spring-Ford in 1971 and Kutztown State College with a degree in Art Education. He worked for Sam's Club in Exton, PA and previously was employed at Boyertown Furnace. He was an artist and avid fisherman. In lue for flowers, the family has asked that donations are made to the Atwood Barnhart Memorial Fund, PNC Bank 3565 Schuylkill Road Spring City, PA 19475.
