George Morris Keen, 89, Spring City, PA George Morris Keen, 89, widower of Thelma G Reichert, died Friday, April 20th 2012 in Hickory House, Honey Brook, PA. He was born in Sharptown, New Jersey. He worked as a fork lift operator at the American Can Company, Brooklyn, NY for 25 years. Then, he worked at Mosler, Inc., in the Shipping and Delivery Department, Wayne, NJ. George served as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He was decorated with a Good Conduct Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic- Pacific Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He is survived by one son: Rev. Dennis Keen and wife, Linda, of Spring City, PA., two grandchildren: Samantha and Benjamin; four great grandchildren: Robert, Salvatore, Reilly and Rebecca; several nieces and nephews, and three sisters. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 12th at Spring City United Methodist, 45 N Church St, Spring City, PA with Rev. Timothy J. Smith, Pastor of the Leola United Methodist Church, officiating. Rev. Charles F. Holm, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of River Edge, New Jersey will officiate at the graveside service. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, Spring City United Methodist, 45 N Church St, Spring City, PA. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, NJ.
