LaRue Shoneman Latshaw, 93, widow of William E. Latshaw, formerly of Wall Street, Spring City died of natural causes November 28, 2011, at Frederick Living Retirement Community, Frederick, PA. Born March 5, 1918, she was ill for only four weeks. She was born and raised in Spring City on Hall Street, and graduated from Spring City High School where she enjoyed basketball, tennis and ice skating. She lived for the past 20 years at Frederick Living. Her husband, William E. Latshaw predeceased her by exactly 10 years. She was employed by Continental Bank and Trust in Phoenixville (now PNC Bank) for many years. She was honored as a 50 year member and officer of the Eastern Star where she was very active in community work; was Financial Secretary for a number of years, she was a dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church, Spring City, PA. Her hobbies were travel all over the U.S. and the Caribbean, cooking, cookbooks, gardening, flowers, sewing, crafts, collecting covered bridge post cards of which she had over 1,000, and entertaining her family and friends. Her brother, Carl Shoneman predeceased her. She is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews. Her Graveside Funeral Service will be at 10am in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Her memorial Service will be at 11am Friday in the Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev.
