Obituary of Clifford James Bartley

Clifford James Bartley, age 78, left this world early morning, Monday May 20.

Clifford resided in Royersford, PA. Born in Delanson, NY, January 10, 1941 to James and Elsie Bartley. Clifford graduated from The King’s College and Clarks Summit University. Clifford spent nineteen years serving the Lord and others at Chapel Christian Academy in Limerick, PA as both a teacher and coach.

Mr. Bartley’s legacy as a kind teacher and mentor is fondly remembered by many of his former students and players.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol (Crist) Bartley. His children, Crista (Zimmerman), Craig, and Colin remember their Father as a dedicated, caring, and hard working man that put family and faith first. Cliff is also remembered for his wit and humor.

He had a light hearted approach to life, and will be remembered for his many “dad jokes”. His time spent helping and loving his grandchildren was the highlight of his later years.
Papaw has eight grandchildren residing in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Clifford’s siblings; David, Carol, Stephen, and Richard will miss their older brother. The family will have a small graveside service for Cliff.  Family, friends, and former students are invited to attend a celebration service to remember Cliff that will be held the weekend of July 12 . Details regarding the celebration service will be announced at a later date.
