Joseph Hogentogler, 66, West Chester Joseph Hogentogler, 66, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. Joe was born to the late Joseph and Doris (Westley) Hogentogler. He attended Conrad High School and West Chester University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Joe enjoyed sports, vacations, and spending time with family. His love for teaching was evident in the 41 years he taught in the Norristown Area School District. Joe also coached middle school soccer for many years. His quiet strength helped everyone get through the most difficult times, while his sense of humor could always put a smile on your face. Most importantly to him, Joe was a devoted family man who put family above all else. His beloved wife, Marge, preceded him in death and he was left with a broken heart. Joe is survived by two loving children: Mike Hogentogler (wife, Kate) and Kate Peters (husband, Mike) of Phoenixville, and his cherished grandchildren Brody and Maggie. Additionally, Joe leaves behind a sister Doris Bixler (Chip) of Williamsburg, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Limerick Garden of Memories Memorial Chapel, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick from 9:00 – 11:00 AM.
