to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.
Fifty years Bob and Char were the personification of those words. They were inseparable, he the yin and her the yang. Fairly defined as opposites, he made friends immediately upon meeting him, Char kept a wary eye and needed to trust people first. One thing they had in common was their love and generosity for their family. There isn’t anything they wouldn’t do for their kids and grandkids. And the extended family for I feel myself very fortunate to be part of that circle of love. My boys, wiffle broom handle head and crista bear to Bob, had him as a role model in the years between my two marriages. He loved them as his own. Mostly our families lived in walking distance of each other. We spent holidays and vacations together as a single family unit. Some of the happiest moments of my life were shared this way. As a testament to this, you only need to view my picture albums. Filled with many, many instances of happiness.
A major break has developed in our circle of love, we need to stretch our arms and hearts across the gap. Keep Char encircled in our love, Bob would have wanted that.

I was very sorry to hear about Bob. He called me before the holidays & told me about his condition, but he seemed to have high hopes of a recovery. I was shocked to hear he was taken so suddenly. My thoughts are with him and all of you.
I was surprised to learn we went the the same High School & graduated the same year as we are the same age. We never met in school, but came together working at Septa.
