

Obituary of Doris R. Doepping
Doris R. Doepping, 90, formerly of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and Spencer, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Born on August 30, 1935, in Spencer, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John and Geneva (Coppley) Reid. Doris later moved to the Phoenixville area to be closer to her children, where she became an active member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church family and enjoyed volunteering her time there.
Generous and kind-hearted, Doris also volunteered for many organizations thoughout her life. She volunteered locally at the Phoenixville Hospital Thrift shop. While living in North Carolina she volunteered with the Mecklenburg ARC, enjoyed substitute teaching, took in exchange students . She worked as a Supervisor in the Food Service Department in Charlotte North Carolina. She took great pride in her work and in caring for others, both at home and in her community. She enjoyed traveling with the Senior Center.
Above all, Doris cherished time spent with her family and was deeply proud of each of them.
She is survived by her son, Larrian Doepping (wife, Susan); three grandchildren, Megan, Stephen, and Madelynn; and two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Ava.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Doepping, and her son, John Doepping.
All services and arrangements will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 355 St. John’s Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
