Lorraine Burg, 86, of Phoenixville
Lorraine Burg, 86, loving mother and grandmother, and widow of the late Joseph Burg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Brandywine Senior Living in Upper Providence.

Born November 25, 1938, in Staten Island, NY, Lorraine was one of six children of the late William and Louise (Kemether) Smolka. She attended McKee High School, later working as a keypunch operator in Manhattan. It was on a ski trip, in  January of 1960, where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Joseph. He lived in the Bronx, She lived in Staten Island, only seeing each other on weekends. Just six weeks later they married on March 5, 1960. They moved to South River, NJ in 1973. The two shared Fifty-one wonderful years of marriage.

A woman known for her warmth and hospitality, Lorraine found joy in cooking and entertaining. Feeding others was her way of showing love and friendship. She and Joe also loved to travel and organized many cruise trips with friends and family.  Lorraine worked as a cook and cafeteria worker in the South River School System and later, as a bus aide for children with disabilities which brought her much joy.

She is survived by daughter, Laura Erdosi (husband, Ernie) of Phoenixville, and her cherished grandchildren, Stephen Erdosi (wife, Mary) and Michael Erdosi (partner, Holly).

In addition to her husband and parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her siblings: Edward, Pauline, William Jr., Louis and Robert. All arrangements are private. Online condolences may be offered at www.rstrunkfuneralhome.com.
