Helen L. Berry, of East Vincent, PA, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 24, 1946, in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Young and Helen I. Lucena.

 

Helen’s life was marked by her love of family, art, and community. She graduated from Atlantic City Friends School in 1964 and went on to earn her secretarial diploma from New Jersey College of Commerce. Helen enjoyed a rewarding career, including positions at Burroughs Corporation and the G.E. Lamp Division. She dedicated five years of her life as a Scouting Committee Chair and was involved in the community.

 

In addition to her professional work, Helen was passionate about teaching and sharing her talents. She taught piano, guitar, and art at her home, enriching the lives of many students over the years. Helen had a deep appreciation for the beauty of antiques, painting, and jewelry, and her collections were a reflection of her refined taste and creativity.

 

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Wilbur Harold Berry, and her parents, Harry E. Young and Helen I. Lucena. She is survived by her three children: James, Charles, and David. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be remembered fondly by all of her family and friends.

 

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA, 19475. The service will follow immediately after, with Rev. John Keretzman officiating. Burial will take place at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
