David H. Boscher, 57, Phoenixville
Dave Boscher, 57, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, July 18, 2019 surrounded at home by friends and loved ones. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa Montalvo; son, Nathan; sisters, Karen (Tom) Whisler and Kathryn (David) Utley; sister-in-law, Janet (Sal) Villari; brother-in-law, Ed (Allison) Montalvo; eleven nieces and nephews, one great-niece and a great-nephew. Dave is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dave was born October 2, 1961 in Danville, IL to Donald and Ellen (Schori) Boscher and grew up in Fairview, Pennsylvania. Dave graduated from Fairview High School in 1979 and Penn State University with a bachelors degree in Microbiology in 1984. He married the love of his life, Lisa Montalvo in 1994 and had their beautiful son, Nathan in 1996. Dave was a research scientist in the Pharmaceutical industry working for Centocor, Johnson and Johnson and most recently Merck Pharmaceutical.
He was a passionate ultimate frisbee player, joining the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance in 1992. Dave went to Nationals and Worlds with Old Sag and Old Glory. He was also an avid swimmer, runner, biker and skier. Dave loved gathering with friends and being in the great outdoors.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday July 27, 2019 in R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville with Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori officiating.
Friends and family are invited to visit Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2019 at the R. Strunk Funeral Home. 400 Main Street Phoenixville, PA 19460. Saturday visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday, July 27 in the Funeral Home.
